Three years done and 120 days to go.

Yesterday, Sohum asked me, “Mamma, when can I be done with all these pills?” I told him he had 121 days to go. I can wait for it to get to a two digit number and then a single digit number and then to say YOU ARE DONE. Yes! The day will come soon.

There were two boys who started this journey a few months before us. Michael and Austin. Michael is in the same clinic as ours and had the same diagnosis as Sohum. Tuesday was his last day of treatment. His mom and Austin’s mom have been my pillar of support through this journey. I don’t think I could have managed without them. We could all talk to each other about our deepest insecurities and knew that the other person won’t be judging you. I felt so emotional on the day Michael got done. I have not seen him in a long time, but, I felt like I have known him forever. I am so happy for him.

Austin is next. He finishes in two months. He lives in Michigan and I have never met him or his mom Brandie. But, I have spoken to her more than I have spoken to anyone else in the past three years. She has always been there to hear me be sad or upset. I can’t wait for her to be done. She has been through a lot.

Then, it will be our turn. Yes. The day will come and I cannot wait. 2020 will be a good year for us. I will love 2020 for the rest of my life.

Please keep praying for my son. Thank you. ❤️
